Unity is Strength, Knowledge is Power, Attitude is everything
At the LIVESTRONG Army of Kansas City – we are bringing change for the thousands of cancer survivors living in the Kansas City metro area. With more than 25,000 people diagnosed with cancer in Kansas City last year, we work toward a day when cancer no longer exists. Inspired by the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s mission statement, “Unity is Strength, Knowledge is Power, Attitude is Everything,” the LIVESTRONG Army of Kansas City is making a difference for those affected by the disease through local fundraising events.
The LIVESTRONG Army of Kansas City’s signature fundraising event, the Tour de BBQ is a unique “flavored” cycling event with proceeds benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation and The University of Kansas Cancer Center. In its second year, the Tour de BBQ will take place on LIVESTRONG Day, Saturday October 2nd and will be hosted by Kansas City’s Power & Light District and GEN X Radio 99.7 FM. One of the favorite things about the Tour de BBQ is the rest stops. See what we have in store for you this year!
